Falcons tackle Pat McQuistan was on hand and practicing with the team on Tuesday.

He’s wearing jersey No. 64.

He takes the roster spot created by left tackle Sam Baker (torn patellar tendon) being placed on injured reserved.

McQuistan (6-foot-6, 317 pounds) was originally a seventh-round selection of the Cowboys in the 2006 NFL Draft. He has played in 72 career games, including 11 starts, with the Cowboys, Dolphins, Saints and Cardinals.

Running back Steven Jackson (hamstring), offensive lineman Gabe Carimi (ankle) and wide receiver Julio Jones (rest day) were not suited up for practice during the open portion of practice.

Carimi appeared close to returning. He stepped in and did some of the bag punching drills before working on the side with the training staff. He was wearing some sort of mask.
