Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan spoke out on the Ray Rice situation on Wednesday.

“I think it’s one of those things where you don’t want to see that happen,” Ryan said. “My personal opinion is that there is never a reason to put your hands on a woman.”

He didn’t want to address the league’s handling of Rice’s suspension after seeing the TMZ video.

“How they are handling it and those things, that’s not for me (to say),” Ryan said. “I wasn’t in those rooms. I wasn’t in those decision-making areas. But as far as doing something like that, that’s something that can’t happen.”
