Former Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann, who was released over the offseason, signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills on Monday.

Biermann, 30, was a fifth-round pick (154th overall) by the Falcons out of Montana in 2008.

He played eight seasons for the Falcons and was considered one of their core special team players.

Biermann visited the Bills back in March. He was signed after the Bills season-ending injuries to Manny Lawson, IK Enemkpali and Shaq Lawson.

Biermann played in 114 games for the Falcons and made 37 starts. He has made 23.5 career sacks.

Biermann married to reality television star Kim Zolciak.
