The tweet from the Jeopardy! account reads: "Fun fact: Our contestants answered as many clues in this category as the @Browns had wins this season."

Cold. And true.Contestants Thursday avoided the category “Talkin’ Football” and didn’t dare buzz in prompting host Alex Trebek to joke “I can tell you guys are big football fans.”

Trebek sailed through the category interrupted only by the audience’s laughter.

He closed out the category after reading the final clue, “If you guys ring in to get this one. I will die.”

It’s not the first time football has stumped contestants. Last fall they struggled to identify NFL teams by its players.
