CB Houston out for Falcons-Rams

Starting right cornerback will miss Friday's preseason game with hamstring injury
Aug 19, 2009

Flowery Branch - Starting cornerback Chris Houston, who suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions, will not play against the Rams.

Chevis Jackson, the team’s third cornerback, will start in Houston’s place at right cornerback.

Falcons coach Mike Smith said the team is being extra cautious with injuries and did not believe that Houston’s injury would linger.

Running back Thomas Brown (leg) is considered questionable and a game-time decision.

While linebacker Edmond Miles (knee), safety William Moore (knee) and defensive tackle Jason Jefferson (hip flexor) will not play.
