The countdown to draft, which will be held on April 25-27 in Nashville, is in full swing.

Here are five things to know about the Falcons today:

1. New PR head: The Falcons named David Bassity their new vice president of football communications on Thursday. He will report to Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE) vice president, Brand Strategy, Morgan Shaw Parker. He will start the week of the draft.

2. Locals Day. The Falcons will host several players from the metro area today for work outs. We'll see if can get a complete list.

3. Walker cleared. Former Georgia linebacker D'Andre Walker has been cleared from his sports hernia surgery, but is not ready to work out. He'll meet with Falcons' officials today.

4. Crunching the numbers. The Falcons' free agency tracker has been updated with the official contract numbers.

5. Updated depth chart. Here's the working depth chart after the Adam Gettis and Kemal Ishmael signings.
