The Falcons traded up to select LSU wide receiver Russell Gage in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Saturday. He was taken with the 194th overall pick after a deal with the Rams.

The Falcons gave up their two seventh-round picks in the deal, sending the Rams the 244th and 256th, the last of the draft, overall selections.

The Falcons selected Yale linebacker Foye Oluokun with their own sixth-round pick. He was taken with the 200th overall selection.

In Gage, the Falcons get a 6-0, 184 pound receiver considered a diamond in the rough. He is expected to be a contributor on special teams.

Oluokun is a 6-2, 200 pound senior. He was All-Ivy League last season with 50 tackles, nine for losses. He could also be considered a safety as a hybrid linebacker.
