Falcons place kicker Younghoe Koo was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday after he played a unique role in the 40-20 victory over the Panthers. It’s the second such honor for Koo this season.

In the win Sunday, Koo made all four field-goal attempts, hitting from 37, 35, 29 and a career-long 50 yards. He also recovered a fumble on a kickoff at the Panthers’ 16-yard line after Damonate Kazee forced the ball loose.

Since Week 10, Koo has an NFL-leading 16 field goals and 57 points.
