FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons coach Mike Smith was fined  $15,000 for his role in a sideline fracas involving Washington cornerback DeAngelo Hall by the NFL on Thursday.

Smith, who contended that he was restoring order after Matt Ryan was hit late by Washington safety LaRon Landry,  was expected to address the situation after the Falcons morning practice.

Hall was not fined.  Landry was fined $5,000 for the hit and Washington defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was fined $7,500, for going into the Falcons' bench area.
