Falcons’ Hageman connecting with defensive line coach Bryan Cox
Falcons’ defensive lineman Ra’Shede Hageman is making a change.
At Wednesday’s minicamp, Hageman was working at defensive end. He will play there this season in some of the Falcons’ sub-packages.
The move has helped him get more opportunities as a pass rusher. It also helped his relationship with defensive line coach Bryan Cox.
Last season, the duo had an onfield argument against the Carolina Panthers.
However, he said they are both on the same page this year.
“We never really had any differences as we are very passionate about football,” he said. “At the end of the day, me and him want the same thing. Just the fact that we are more passionate means we are on the same page.”
Hageman, a second round pick out of Minnesota in 2014, had 27 tackles and one sack last season.
