Five questions with Winovich

Q: What have teams said they like about your tape?

A: The first thing that pops up on everybody's list is just like how hard I work and my play style and never taking a play off.

Q: What do you attribute your relentless style to?

A: Honestly, for me it's a combination of being physically able to. I don't know if I have more lung capacity than other people, just like being able to handle the breathing and not getting too fatigued. Really, it goes back to a mindset.

Q: What are you intangibles?

A: I felt like I could do little stuff really well. I'm a very consistent practice player. I'm durable. There's a quote from coach (Jim) Harbaugh, 'The injured, the unwilling,' something along those lines, eventually they all look alike after a while. I fumbled that quote, but they all look alike after a while. To me that's an important intangible.

Q: What is your draft expectation?

A: I've heard end of the first to the third round. Whoever loves me the most, I know what they're going to get, and I think they know what they're going to get as well.

Q: What defensive front do you fit in?

A: I'm most comfortable going into the NFL as a 4-3 defensive end, just because that's what I've done most of, but to be honest, I've viewed playing standup is how I got my start. I was a standup edge rusher in (the) cheetah package, which is marquee rush package. So, I was standing up there.
