Former Falcons and Georgia Tech standout Philip Wheeler signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday.

Wheeler, 32, played the past two seasons with the Falcons as a reserve linebacker. He played in all 16 regular-season games and made four starts. He played in all three playoff games, including Super Bowl LI.

Wheeler, a Columbus native, has played in 133 games, with 66 starts in nine seasons. He also has played for the Colts (2008-11), Raiders (2012) and Dolphins (2013-14).
