Here’s what Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had to say about the Titans, the Falcons’ opponent at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium:
Q: What impresses you about the Titans’ defense?
A: "Tennessee's defense is really good. I think they're top 10 in the (NFL) in six categories. They're physical against the run, they do a nice job on first and second down of putting you in third-and-long situations, and they have an extensive blitz package. They give you a number of different looks. They bring people from all over the place. They try and create confusion. They do a nice job and they play hard. That's probably one of the biggest things, too. They play physical and they play hard."
Q: What do you see on film from Titans free safety Kevin Byard?
A: "He's a ballhawk. He does a great job of playing the ball in the air. He does a nice job when they ask him to come down and play run defense. More so than anything, he's got a knack for finding the ball and getting the ball out."
Q: How will you all contend with four-time Pro Bowler Jurrell Casey?
A: "He's a stud up front. He plays hard, he's got good moves in pass rush, he's physical against the run. He's one of the guys that you have to account for where he's at, and we have to make sure that we have hats on him."
