Mike Foltynewicz allowed eight hits and three runs, two of them earned, in five innings in his second start with the Gwinnett Stripers Thursday night.

Foltynewicz was demoted by the Braves after struggling in the majors.

The host Stripers lost to Durham 5-3.

Foltynewicz struck out seven and walked two.  He has a 4.75 ERA in Triple-A.

He pitched 7-2/3 innings and had eight strikeouts, allowing two runs on five hits, in  his first start for Gwinnett Saturday.
