Here are a few things you might not know about the University of Kentucky:

Location: Lexington, Ky.

Founded: 1865

Enrollment: 30,720 (2015-2016)

Famous alumni: Ashley Judd (actress), Rajon Rondo (basketball player), Mitch McConnell (United States Senator), DeMarcus Cousins (basketball player), Anthony Davis (basketball player), John Wall (basketball player) and Devin Booker (basketball player).

Number of appearances in the NCAA Tournament: Kentucky has appeared in the NCAA Tournament 58 times— five-straight— and won the tournament eight times.

Kentucky tips off against No. 9 Kansas State Thursday at 9:37 p.m. at Philips Arena.
