The Atlanta Falcons released defensive tackle Ra’Shede Hageman on Monday after the third-year veteran was placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List over the weekend.

Hageman was placed on the Exempt List on Saturday due to domestic violence related charges from March 2016.

In his third season with the Falcons, Hageman played in 12 games and recorded two sacks and 11 tackles.

The former Minnesota defensive lineman was drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Coach Dan Quinn spoke to media on Monday about who would take Hageman’s place.

“We were fortunate that that position this year worked out like it did,” Quinn said. “We had good depth at a couple of spots and that happened to be one of them."
