The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that the team placed Jack Crawford on injured reserve due to a bicep injury, ending the season of the defensive lineman.

Crawford suffered the injury in Sunday’s loss to the Bills. Falcons coach Dan Quinn, fearing the severity of the injury, said Monday that the team is discussing whether to sign a free agent. They will likely move forward now that Crawford is done for the year.

The Falcons signed Crawford in March. He played in all four games this season. Crawford recorded five tackles and three of the Falcons’ 27 hits on opposing quarterbacks.
