More than 60,000 "SportsCenters" have aired since ESPN was launched in September 1979. (And you've watched every one.)

In that time there has been one individual to appear on the show most often. (And it's not who you think.)

Linda Cohn will host "SportsCenter" for the 5,000th time Feb. 21. (You thought is was Chris Berman, didn't you?)

You may not recall her first "SportsCenter." It came on at 2 a.m., July 11, 1992, when she was paired with former ESPN anchor Chris Myers, now with Fox Sports.

Cohn, who has been at ESPN for 23 years, was the first full-time female sports anchor on a national radio network (ABC) in 1987. Before joining ESPN, she was a sports anchor/reporter for KIRO-TV in Seattle.

KIRO is a Cox Media Group property, which also owns the AJC. (Six degrees of separation.)
