Dwight Howard hosts basketball camp

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard holds the 2009 Howard & Howard Basketball Camp -- Bridging the Gap Between Fathers and Son. It takes place on July 20 - 24, 2009 at Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta.

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard, who played at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, hosts a week-long basketball camp at Douglass High School in Atlanta for kids aged 6-17. This is the fifth year Howard has held the camp.

The camp also includes a classroom portion, during which Dwight Howard observed from the back of the room. Howard also shared stories about playing in the NBA and the playoffs.

There was basketball, but there was also fun. Dwight Howard shows off his dance moves on the court.

More than 100 kids signed up for the week-long camp.

Part of the instruction also entailed Dwight Howard jamming on his pupils, including 17-year-old David Gathers of Dunn, N.C.
