This one should have been easy.

The Dream jumped out to a 7-0 lead, led by as many as 19 points, but then held on for a 72-67 WNBA victory over the Connecticut Sun Tuesday night.

The Dream (6-7) held a 19-point halftime lead but the Sun closed the gap to 69-67 with 9.7 seconds left on Asjha Jones' layup.

Sancho Lyttle hit two free throws with eight seconds left. After Connecticut missed a 3-pointer, Chamique Holdsclaw added a free throw for the final margin.

Holdsclaw led the Dream with a game-high 18 points while Iziane Castro Marques and Lyttle added 14 points apiece.Erika de Souza each finished with 12 points, 17 rebounds and four steals.

"It was a little bit of a nail biter there at the end," Dream coach Marynell Meadors said. "But our team hung in there."

Due to events at Philips Arena this month, the Dream play their next five games on the road. They don't return home until July 30.
