Atlanta Dream guard Brittney Sykes was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for her performance during July, the WNBA announced on Monday.

In July, Sykes led all rookies in scoring 17.8 points which was third-best in the Eastern Conference and eighth-best in the WNBA. Sykes, the seventh overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft out of Syracuse, scored in double figures in all 11 games in July.

On July 19, the rookie guard scored career-highs in points (27) and assists (5) against the Washington Mystics.
