Ahead of Georgia’s National Championship game Monday night, former Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Hawk Dominique Wilkins reminisced on Georgia’s last national championship.

In a video posted by FOX Sports South, Wilkins talked about the passion of the Georgia fanbase and the last Championship the Bulldogs won in 1980.

“I remember when they won the championship when I was there when Herschel Walker came on the scene,” Wilkins said. “It was an unbelievable environment at the University of Georgia.”

Wilkins played at Georgia for three seasons from 1979-1982.

Georgia and Alabama kick off a 8 p.m. Monday in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the College Football Playoff Championship game.
