Athens - Three Georgia players are on the preseason watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, given annually to college football's national defensive player of the year.

Linebacker Rennie Curran and defensive tackles Geno Atkins and Jeff Owens are the UGA players among the 62 candidates on the list.

Georgia is among four schools with three players on the watch list, joining Alabama, Florida and Penn State.
