Sean Bailey is having his best season statistically for the Bulldogs, but the senior wide receiver is proving his versatility as both an outside and inside threat for Matthew Stafford. "What we were lacking last year he is bringing it back to the table in terms of his plays," UGA receivers coach John Eason said.

Mohamed Massaquoi, who has dazzled only sporadically at Georgia, caught two passes at Alabama last week but might have played the best game of his career. Both catches were in the clutch, but "he played with a level of focus I have not seen in the guy and he did it for 60 minutes," UGA head coach Mark Richt said.

Freshman Vince Vance has gone from the bench to tackle to guard in the span of four college games. Chester Adams, who has gone from guard to tackle, has been giving Vance tips on what to expect as he shuffles around. "The guy with his hands inside wins all the time," Adams said. "The guys are a lot stronger in there."

Deep snapper Jeff Henson struggled at Alabama, and he knows he can't have another shaky outing. "They do a good job of bringing in so many guys from everywhere," he said of the Ole Miss punt-blocking unit. Last season the Rebels blocked a UGA punt (twice, including another one called back on a penalty).

Georgia's defense is feeling the pressure to close out games, something that's been a concern thus far. Alabama's fourth quarter recovery has been a serious topic of preparation all week as the Dogs seek their seventh straight win over Ole Miss. "We believe in ourselves and we know what we can do," said starting cornerback Asher Allen (2). "We do need somebody who can stop it."

The Rebels played No. 4 Florida close last week, losing 30-24 in Oxford behind starting quarterback Seth Adams, who has displaced Brent Schaeffer. Adams, a former walk-on, is a senior averaging 240 passing yards a game, and has completed 59 percent of his passes. He has thrown for seven touchowns against three interceptions.
