UGA coach Richt lends a hand in Honduras

The AJC's Steve Hummer reports from Honduras, where UGA coach Mark Richt is lending a hand.

In Honduras, the day begins for Mark Richt with a healthy breakfast snack of Pringles and Coke. Richt and his wife Katharyn are touring impoverished areas of Honduras served by the Christian charity, World Vision International.

It's a short climb up a steep hill at the end of the tour of San Antonio's rudimentary water system and agriculture.

The human problems are many around San Antonio, Honduras, but the view is great.

Near the town of Gracias, Richt takes part in a carnival-like event designed to promote AIDs awareness. Here he is stumped by a question in one game.
