Transferred UGA safety unlikely to return to Bulldogs

MACON — Backup safety John Knox, who transferred last month to Georgia Military College for what UGA called academic reasons, apparently is gone for good.

"I don't think Knox will return," coach Mark Richt said. "The chances of that happening are not very good."

Nick Williams, converted from safety to linebacker in spring practice, could get another look at safety because of Knox's departure, Richt said.
