Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas (offense), defensive end KeShun Freeman (defense) and punter Ryan Rodwell (special teams) were named the team’s players of the game for Saturday’s 42-38 win over Georgia Southern, by coaches’ determination.

Thomas ran for a career-best 137 yards and also threw a career-best four touchdown passes, including a 13-yarder for the game-winning score to A-back Deon Hill with 23 seconds remaining. Freeman, a first-year freshman making his first career start, was credited with four tackles and the fumble recovery that set up the game-winning touchdown drive. Rodwell averaged 43.8 yards on five punts and dropped four of them inside the 20-yard line.
