Thomas, Freeman, Rodwell honored by team

Sept 16, 2014Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas (offense), defensive end KeShun Freeman (defense) and punter Ryan Rodwell (special teams) were named the team’s players of the game for Saturday’s 42-38 win over Georgia Southern, by coaches’ determination.
Thomas ran for a career-best 137 yards and also threw a career-best four touchdown passes, including a 13-yarder for the game-winning score to A-back Deon Hill with 23 seconds remaining. Freeman, a first-year freshman making his first career start, was credited with four tackles and the fumble recovery that set up the game-winning touchdown drive. Rodwell averaged 43.8 yards on five punts and dropped four of them inside the 20-yard line.
