Georgia Tech nose tackle Shawn Green is a possibility to play Saturday against Clemson after suffering a knee injury against N.C. State, coach Paul Johnson said Monday. He was held out of Monday’s practice, the only player who did not participate due to injury.

“All I can tell you is what the trainer told me,” Johnson said. “He’s got a chance.”

Having Green in the lineup, even if not at full strength, would be a critical boost for the Yellow Jackets. Tech is already thin on the defensive line, and Green has been effective at holding the point against double-team blocks on the interior of the line.
