There were several notable names missing from Georgia’s travel roster for Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

Among the players not included on the 70-man travel squad were defensive backs Sheldon Dawson, Shattle Fenteng and Kennar Johnson, wide receivers Brendan Langley and Shakenneth Williams, defensive lineman Lamont Gaillard, linebacker Johnny O’Neal and offensive linemen Josh Cardiello, Aulden Bynum and Xzavier Ward. As expected, wide receivers Malcolm Mitchell (knee), Jonathon Rumph (hamstring) and Justin Scott-Wesley (ankle) did not make the trip due to injuries.

Dawson and Fenteng were the biggest surprises. Neither is known to be injured at the moment. However, Fenteng missed a week of practice in preseason camp with a shoulder injury and coach Mark Richt said that “has been his biggest issue.”
