Where will they play?: Alabama will advance to the College Football Playoff and compete in a national semifinal game in either the Orange or Cotton Bowl. Depending on final CFP rankings, Georgia could advance to the four-team without winning the conference championship.

If Georgia doesn’t make the playoff, it will likely play in the Sugar Bowl, which gets the CFP committee’s highest-ranked SEC team not in the playoff.

When will they play?: Alabama will play in either the Orange or Cotton Bowl on Dec. 29. If Georgia makes the playoff, it will play in either the Orange or Cotton Bowl on Dec. 29. If it goes to the Sugar Bowl, it will play in New Orleans on Jan. 1.
