SEC Media Days set for mid-July, back in Hoover

Kirby Paul Smart was born Dec. 23, 1975 in Montgomery, Alabama. Smart graduated from Bainbridge (Ga.) High School. His HS coach was his dad, Sonny Smart. Smart played football at Georgia from 1995-98 and graduated with an undergraduate business degree in 1998. He earned a master's degree from Florida State in 2003. The SEC announced Thursday its schedule for the annual SEC Media Days for football.

The event, held last summer at the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta, returns to Hoover, Ala., site of each of the media days from 2001-17. This year’s event will take place from July 15-18.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart and a few of his players will appear at the event on Tuesday, July 16.

Thursday’s announcement did not list the names of the players who will attend. That announcement will come later.
