Auburn gets Kyle Davis, a wide receiver from Archer, considered by some as the top receiver in the nation.

Three things to know about Davis:

1. Gave up on Gamecocks: Considered the top receiver prospect in the nation by some services, Davis chose Auburn over Georgia and Tennessee, after previously committing to South Carolina. He announced his decision Nov. 25 on Twitter.

“After a tremendous amount of prayer and conversation with my family, we have finally come to a conclusion on where I will further my education the next four years,” Davis wrote. “With that said, I will continue to be a Tiger.”

Davis enrolled early at Auburn and is on campus.

2. High-profile senior season: Davis capped off a prolific high school career with 54 catches for 805 yards and six touchdowns in his senior season.

3. Gifted: Archer coach Andy Dyer said the 6-foot-3, 218-pound Davis is blessed physically. "We believe the sky is the limit for him," Dyer said.
