Several game-worn Georgia items belonging to Roquan Smith were stolen from his car over the weekend, but some of those items have been recovered, according to the Summerville News, which cites a report from local police.

Detectives were able to trace a fingerprint found in Smith’s car to a UGA student from Summerville, per the report.

Summerville is about 140 miles west of Athens.

The student, who allegedly confessed to the thefts, was not identified. Athens police retrieved the items Tuesday night and would take out an arrest warrant for the suspect.

Smith’s game-worn jerseys are estimated to be worth about $40,000, per the report.

Some of the other items stolen include four pairs of Bose headphones, Bluetooth speakers, Nike shoes and an iPad containing the Chicago Bears playbook. Many of those items — including the iPad — are still missing.

Smith’s family celebrated the discoveries on social media.

“There were a lot of items taken but none more dear to his heart than his UGA jerseys and helmet,” his aunt, Shaquwanda Baker, wrote on Facebook. “Thanks for your support and for spreading this unpleasant news with hopes of finding the person who did this.”

The former Bulldogs linebacker was drafted by the Bears with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
