After missing Saturday’s loss to Duke with a shoulder injury, Georgia Tech defensive end Rod Rook-Chungong is expected to be available for the Yellow Jackets’ game Saturday against North Carolina at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Coach Paul Johnson said he was “reasonably sure” about Chungong’s return. Chungong, who had started two of the first three games, dressed for the Duke game but did not play. Johnson said he didn’t’ know about defensive tackle Patrick Gamble, who missed the Duke game with a head injury.

A-back TaQuon Marshall, who left Saturday’s game with an undisclosed injury, did not practice Monday.

Johnson also clarified that A-back Qua Searcy is out for the season after his ankle injury suffered against Notre Dame.

“He’s done,” he said.

Having played in less than 30 percent of his team’s games with an incapacitating injury, Searcy is eligible for a medical hardship waiver. He would also have to apply for an extra year to complete his eligibility, since he redshirted last year.

He also said that wide receiver Micheal Summers, who left the Notre Dame game with a shoulder injury, will be out for “a while.”
