The Georgia quarterback standing in the way of Nick Saban and another SEC championship once pledged to play for the legendary coach in Tuscaloosa.
Jake Fromm will lead the East champion Bulldogs against Saban's West champion Crimson Tide in the 2018 SEC Championship game Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It is well-documented how Fromm, who had pledged to play for Alabama, changed his mind not long after Kirby Smart became Georgia's head coach late in 2015.
This will be Fromm’s second game against Alabama, and his second game against the Crimson Tide in Atlanta. Of course, the first meeting was the 26-23 overtime loss in the national championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in January.
