For all his achievements as Georgia Tech's quarterback, Reggie Ball's time is marred by his 0-4 record against Georgia.

Georgia Tech recruited quarterback Reggie Ball out of DeKalb's Stephenson High School where as a senior he passed for more than 2,000 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Reggie Ball was the first true freshman to start at quarterback for Georgia Tech since Stu Rogers in 1980. Ball's first start was in the Yellow Jackets' opening game against BYU in 2003.

Reggie Ball was the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2003.

Reggie Ball holds the record at Georgia Tech for rushing yards by a quarterback with 1,451 with 11 touchdowns.

Reggie Ball led Georgia Tech to victories over a third-ranked Miami (2005); beat a ranked Auburn twice; scored as a passer, a rusher and a receiver against North Carolina (2005); threw three touchdown passes in the final five minutes to beat Clemson (2004); was the MVP of the Champs Sports Bowl (end of 2004 season).

Although Georgia Tech earned a spot to play West Virginia in the Gator Bowl that year, Reggie Ball's controversial career abruptly ended when he was named academically ineligible, and backup quarterback Taylor Bennett (far right) was named the starter.
