Georgia moved up to No. 4 when the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll was released Sunday. Will it do the same when the latest College Football Playoff are released Tuesday evening?

Georgia (11-1) has been in the No. 5 spot in the CFP rankings for three weeks, but could move into the No. 4 spot Tuesday after a loss by previous-No. 4 Michigan last week at Ohio State. Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame - all unbeaten at 12-0 - are expected to maintain the top three spots in tonight’s rankings, the final rankings before this weekend’s conference championship games.

Vote: Who wins the SEC title, Georgia or Alabama?

The group’s final ranking Dec. 2 will determine the playoff field, with the top four teams at that point securing berths. The No. 1 team will face No. 4 and No. 2 will face No. 3 in the semifinals, which this season will be played in the Orange and Cotton bowls on Dec. 29.

The national championship game will be played Jan. 7 in Santa Clara, Calif.

Whether Georgia moves into the top four or maintains its No. 5 spot, it can secure a spot in the four-team playoff with a victory over No. 1 Alabama Saturday in the SEC Championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (4 p.m., CBS; News 95.5 and AM-750 WSB) in Atlanta.
