The college football season is month's away, but prognosticators in Vegas have picked their favorites to win the College Football Playoff National Championship trophy. No surprise, nine of the top 25 teams picked to win the national title are from the Southeastern Conference.

The college football season is month's away, but prognosticators in Vegas have picked their favorites to win the College Football Playoff National Championship trophy. No surprise, nine of the top 25 teams picked to win the national title are from the Southeastern Conference.

Georgia Tech reached the ACC title game last year after an 11-3 (6-2 ACC) season. The Yellow Jackets face some critical matchups against Notre Dame, Clemson, Virginia Tech and Georgia. Paul Johnson's squad holds 50/1 odds to win the College Football Playoffs Championship Game.

The Razorbacks went winless in the SEC in 2013. They improved 2-6 with conference wins against LSU and Mississippi last season. Arkansas holds 50/1 odds to reach and win a national championship.

Under head coach Todd Graham, Arizona State went 10-3, (6-3 in Pac-12) last season. The Sun Devils open the season against Texas A&M in Houston and finish out with a five-week stretch against Oregon, Washington State, Washington, Arizona and Cal. Arizona hold 40/1 odds to win a national championship.

Arizona went 10-4, (7-2 in Pac-12) under head coach Rich Rodriguez. The new-look Wildcats hold 40/1 odds to win a national title.

Hugh Freeze's Ole Miss Rebels went 9-4, (5-3 in SEC) last season. The Rebels open the season against Tennessee-Martin and Fresno State before a week 3 matchup against Alabama. Mississippi holds 33/1 odds to win a national title.

The Badgers went 11-3 (7-1 in Big Ten) last season. For the second year in a row they open the season against an SEC opponent - Sept. 5 vs. Alabama in Arlington, Texas. They hold 33/1 odds to finish as national champions.

The Bruins went 10-3 (6-3 in Pac 12) last season, with losses against Utah, Oregon and Stanford. UCLA opens the 2015 season at home against Virginia and faces 33/1 odds to finish as national champions.

Texas A&M went 3-5 in the SEC last season. The Aggies open the 2015 season against Arizona State in Houston and hold 33/1 odds to win a national championship.

Stanford went 8-5 in 2014. The Cardinal non-conference opponents include Northwestern and Central Florida. Stanford holds 33/1 odds to win a national title.

The Georgia Bulldogs return top running back Nick Chubb and have a new offensive coordinator (Brian Schottenheimer). Mark Richt's team has a mid-season stretch against Alabama, Tennessee and Missouri. Georgia holds 33/1 odds to win the College Football Playoffs Championship game.

The Gators finished 7-5 (4-4 in SEC) last season. A new coach - Jim McElwain - and a new direction has the Gators as 33/1 favorites to win their first national championship since 2009.

Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers finished a 10-3 season with a drubbing of Oklahoma at the 2014 Florida Citrus Bowl. They face Notre Dame and Georgia Tech in back-to-back games in 2015 and hold 33/1 odds to win a national title.

The Broncos were 12-2 in 2014. In 2015, Boise State's non-conference schedule includes matchups against Washington and Virginia. They hold 33/1 odds to win a national title.

The Sooners, with Trevor Knight at quarterback, hope to return to a national championship game - which they last reached in 2009. Oklahoma holds 25/1 odds to win another national title.

The Bulldogs return quarterback Dak Prescott and hope to they can repeat their impressive 9-0 start from last season. Mississippi State holds 25/1 odds to win a national title.

USC starts the 2015 season against Arkansas State and Idaho before facing rival Stanford. They hold 20/1 odds to win the College Football Playoffs.

The last time Notre Dame reached the National Championship was in 2012. Brian Kelly's Fighting Irish team has Georgia Tech, Texas and Clemson on this year's schedule. They hold 20/1 odds to win the title.

The Big XII hasn't had a national championship team since the Texas Longhorns in 2005. Could Baylor be the next? They hold 16/1 odds to do so.

Michigan State's two losses in 2014 came to the teams that played for the national title - Ohio State and Oregon. This year they hold 16/1 odds to reach and one the title game.

The LSU Tigers finished 8-5 (4-4, SEC) last season. They hold 16/1 odds to win a national title.

The Florida State Seminoles had their winning streak snapped in the College Football Playoffs last season. They face 16/1 odds to reach and win another national championship game this season.

The Oregon Ducks finished as runners-up in the College Football Playoff National Championship. They face 14/1 odds to actually win this season.

Head coach Gus Malzahn added former defensive coordinator Will Muschamp to revitalize the Auburn Tigers' defense. They hold 14/1 odds to return as national champions.

Nick Saban's Alabama squad will feature a new offense, but is never out of contention. The Tide hold 10/1 odds to win it all.
