Landers earned his 850th victory on Nov. 29, 2014, when the Lady Bulldogs defeated Tennessee Tech, his alma mater. The others are:

Kentucky's Adolph Rupp is ranked 5th in total victories by a men's NCAA Division I college coach, winning 876 games in 41 years of coaching. He also won four NCAA titles in 1948, 1949, 1951 and 1958.

North Carolina's Dean Smith coached at Chapel Hill for 36 years, winning 879 games from 1961 to 1997. He led the Tar Heels to two NCAA men's national titles in 1982 and 1993.

In 29 years as the Connecticut women's head coach Geno Auriemma has amassed nearly 900 wins. He has led the Huskies to nine NCAA titles in 1995, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014.

Since 1980, Mike Krzyzewski has led the Duke Blue Devils to four NCAA Championships, 11 Final Fours, 12 ACC regular season titles. He is basketball's winningest head coach with more than 930 wins at Duke (with an additional 79 at Army).

Jim Boeheim has been the head coach at Syracuse since 1976 and trails only Duke's Mike Krzyzewski in career wins with more than 950. The Orange have four NCAA championship game appearances under Boeheim, but just one title - in 2013.

Pat Summitt coaching resume at Tennessee - from 1974 to 2012 - includes 1,098 wins and 8 NCAA titles. She is one of three college coaches with at least 1,000 victories.
