Corey Allen scored 28 points, including eight 3-pointers, to lead Georgia State past Dartmouth 83-80 in overtime Tuesday at the GSU Sports Arena.
The Panthers (5-3) needed an extra five minutes to secure their fourth straight win and their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Allen’s three-pointer in overtime tied the game at 74, but Joe Jones III and Kane Williams had key baskets and free throws down the stretch as the Panthers held off the Big Green for the victory.
“Proud of our guys as we earned a really good win against a really good team,” Georgia State head coach Rob Lanier said.
Williams finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists. James Foye had 25 points and Chris Knight added 23 points and nine rebounds for Dartmouth (5-3).
