Jerick McKinnon accounted for three touchdowns to lead Georgia Southern to a 35-19 victory over Western Carolina Saturday.

McKinnon, the Eagles' quarterback, had touchdowns runs of 23 and 36 yards, and his 19-yard TD pass to Da'Quan Heard was his only throw. McKinnon had 68 yards rushing on 14 carries, and now has 925 yards rushing for the season.

Kevin Ellison and Nardo Govan had rushing TDs for Georgian Southern (5-4, 3-4 Southern Conference). Govan scored from 2-yards out. During the next series on offense, Ellison had a 40-yard run that set up his 1-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles a 35-13 fourth-quarter lead.

Despite losing four fumbles, four Eagles had runs of more than 33 yards.

Western Carolina (2-8, 1-5) quarterbacks Troy Mitchell and Eddie Sullivan each had touchdown passes. But Mitchell, the starting quarterback, had three interceptions. Sullivan threw one.
