A family atmosphere at Clemson won over Tremayne Anchrum, an offensive lineman from McEachern.

He likely will become a guard.

Three things to know about Anchrum:

1. Closer to home: Anchrum committed to Clemson in mid-November, choosing the Tigers over Colorado and Nebraska, and enrolled early.

2. Knockdowns: At 6-foot-3, 268 pounds, Anchrum had a 93 percent overall blocking grade and had 35 knockdown blocks during his senior season at McEachern.

3. Position coach a winner: He visited Clemson for the Florida State game and came away impressed with Tigers offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell. "I love that man. He's great,"Anchrum told Tigernet.com. "He's a great person. He loves his offensive line like they're his own kids."
