Malcolm Mitchell's career at UGA

With @Money_Mitch26 as your twitter handle, you would think Malcolm Mitchell has a knack of coming through in crunch time.

It appeared harmless at the time as Malcolm Mitchell celebrated Todd Gurley's touchdown against Clemson by jumping for an 'air bump'. But Mitchell apparently injured his knee on the landing (he's limping above) and will miss the remainder of the season.

Arguably the strongest and deepest position at UGA this season is wide receiver – and one of the top playmakers at the position is junior Malcolm Mitchell.

Mitchell finished second on the team with 572 receiving yards in 2012. The versatile athlete played primarily on defense through the fourth game of the season and was presented the Charley Trippi most valuable player award at the end of the season.

Mitchell had four catches for 40 yards in the SEC championship game loss to Alabama.

Mitchell led UGA with 88 yards on three catches in the win over Georgia Tech.

He had a team-high five catches, including a touchdown, in the victory over Auburn.

Mitchell also had a team-high five catches against Florida ….

…. including the key 45-yard TD catch and run in the fourth quarter that helped seal the deal against the Gators.

Mitchell had a solid all-around game against South Carolina with three catches for 52 yards and two kickoff returns for 71 yards.

Mitchell played on offense and defense against Vanderbilt, recording five tackles in the win over the Commodores.

He had a fumble recovery and several tackles against Florida Atlantic.

As a freshman in 2011, Mitchell appeared in 11 games with nine starts and had 665 yards receiving on 45 catches.

Mitchell led the team with 85 receiving yards on three catches, including a 25-yard touchdown catch, in a victory over Auburn.

He had a team-high five catches for 60 yards and a touchdown against Mississippi State.

In his first collegiate game, Mitchell had an 18-yard run ….
