Kennesaw State’s athletic department reported revenues of $20.7 million and expenses of approximately of $20.2 million in the unrestricted funds total of its financial statement for the 2014-15 year.

Student fees total $13 million, or 62.8 percent, of the revenues. Kennesaw State’s students approved a $100 increase in the student fees in November 2010 to support football. After the Board of Regents granted its approval in Feb. 2013, Kennesaw State’s student fees increased to $252 per semester.

Among Kennesaw State’s sports, football has the largest amount of expenses ($2.7 million) with revenues of $123,000. The statement encompasses July 2014-June 2015 and doesn’t include all of the revenues and expenses generated from the Owls’ ongoing football season.

Sponsorships total $880,000 in revenues.
