The Kennesaw State men’s basketball team will open the2016-17 Atlantic Sun Conference season at Lipscomb, according to the schedules released by the league’s office on Tuesday.

The Owls went 11-20 overall, 7-7 in the conference in Al Skinner’s first season as coach.

The team must replace second-leading scorer Yonel Brown and starters Nigel Pruitt and Bernard Morena. It returns leading scorer Kendrick Ray.

The team signed 6-foot-4 guard James Scott, 6-foot-10 Zach Cameron Chodes and 6-4 forward Anthony Wilson.

Florida Gulf Coast is the conference’s defending tournament champion, and North Florida the regular-season champion.
