Georgia Tech’s Jack linebacker position is up the air, coach Paul Johnson said Wednesday.

Victor Alexander, Jaquan Henderson and Jordan Domineck have been playing relatively equal amounts at a position that is expected to create plays.

“I wouldn’t say anybody’s been stellar at that position,” Johnson said.

Alexander has been the starter through two games. He has three tackles, Henderson has five and Domineck has four. None has a tackle for loss or been credited with a quarterback hurry.

Defensive coordinator Nate Woody picked out Alexander and Henderson prior to spring practice as two players he wanted to play the Jack spot, a position whose primarily responsibility is to stand up at the line of scrimmage and attack the offensive backfield.

Tech plays at Pittsburgh Saturday in both teams’ ACC opener.
