Georgia State’s R.J. Hunter was named to the Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention team on Monday.

Hunter, a sophomore, became the third player in school history to receive the honor, joining Shernard Long (2001) and Thomas Terrell (2002).

Hunter averaged a team-high 18.3 points per game last year as the Panthers went 25-9 in winning the Sun Belt’s regular-season championship. He was also named the conference’s player of the year.
