Here's a quick overview of Georgia Tech's attention-grabbing group of recruits that make up coach Geoff Collins' first full class since he was hired by Tech in December 2018:

» Tech's 21-member class ranked 24th by 247Sports Composite as of Wednesday evening, its highest rating since finishing 15th in 2007.

» The highest-rated prospect is quarterback Jeff Sims of Jacksonville, Fla., a four-star recruit rated the No. 207 player in the class and the No. 7 dual-threat quarterback.

» Eight of the signees will enroll in January, enabling them to participate in spring practice and get a head start on challenging for playing time in the 2020 season.

» The class includes 11 signees from Georgia, with the rest coming from Florida (seven), Mississippi, South Carolina and Texas (one each).

» Dutchtown High wide receiver Nate McCollum, a four-star prospect, plans to play for Tech's baseball team as an outfielder.
