One week after recording a 41-0 home victory against Alcorn State to open the season, Georgia Tech takes to the road for what should provide a much tougher test.
The Yellow Jackets will meet South Florida, a member of the American Athletic Conference, in another early-afternoon time slot. The Bulls are coached by Charlie Strong, who in his first season in Tampa led his team to an 11-2 record, and one of those losses was to Central Florida, which finished the season 13-0 and declared itself national champs.
