Georgia Tech’s players of the game for the season-opening win over Alcorn State were left guard Parker Braun (offense), defensive end Desmond Branch (defense) and linebacker Jaquan Henderson (special teams).

Braun played with typical consistency, turning aside or drive blocking defensive linemen in the run game as the Yellow Jackets ran for 439 yards against the Braves. Branch repeatedly penetrated gaps to get into the Alcorn State backfield. Henderson played on multiple special-teams units and had one special-teams tackle.

The awards were selected by the Tech coaching staff.
